The story

Breitling’s all-purpose watch for your every pursuit, here paying tribute to our 30 year partnership with the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows with a 160 piece limited edition series, honouring each Red Arrows pilot to have flown in the team since its inaugural 1965 season. The Chronomat holds a significant place in Breitling’s history. Introduced in 1984, at a time where extra-thin quartz timepieces were the order of the day, Breitling placed a bold bet on an impressively proportioned mechanical watch. Based on the Frecce Tricolori chronograph, which had been developed and launched in 1983 in collaboration with the Italian aerial squadron, the Chronomat celebrated Breitling’s centenary in style and marked the return of the mechanical chronograph to its rightfully prominent place at the brand which had built its global reputation on these incredible watches. Available in stainless steel, the Chronomat B01 42 Red Arrows features a 42 mm case, the iconic bezel with the four rider tabs and a RAF blue dial with the distinctive Red Arrows Diamond Nine logo positioned in a rare execution at 12 o’clock. On the caseback’s sapphire crystal, the Royal Air Force insignia is presented in glorious colour for the first time. Matched to the signature “Rouleaux” bracelet, the Chronomat B01 42 Red Arrows is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, a COSC-certified chronometer.
