Breitling X Triumph Motorcycles
In the mid-1960s, auto-racing was having a heyday, and a whole subculture had sprung up around café racers—stylish motorcycles, used to transport their riders from hip café to hip café. Willy Breitling set out to capture the speed-driven style of the day with a completely new take on the timekeeper: the Top Time chronograph. Today that freewheeling 1960s spirit is back in our Top Time collaboration with Triumph Motorcycles, a brand synonymous with vintage-inspired café racers and the lifestyle around them. In 2022, Triumph celebrated 120 years of motorcycle manufacture. And just like our watches, their bikes perfectly blend heritage, character and performance.
Top Time Triumph
A collaboration made for adventure, The Top Time Triumph’s ice-blue dial was precisely color matched to a Triumph Thunderbird 6T motorcycle from 1951 and a rare, blue-dialed Breitling Top Time watch from the 1970s. The modern-retro design gives a nod to original Top Time models with mushroom chronograph pushers, a perforated leather racing strap, and a dial whose brushed metallic finish creates a radiant play of light and texture, almost like ice itself. The Breitling and Triumph logos appear on the dial, while the open sapphire-crystal caseback provides a view of the sublime engine powering this watch: the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.
A revival of 1960s café-racer spirit
Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition
In 2022, Breitling and Triumph kickstarted their collaboration with the launch of the Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition motorcycle and a Top Time Triumph watch for bike owners, both limited to 270 pieces. The bike featured a captivating polychromatic blue paint scheme to match the ice blue of its companion watch, whose dial design, in turn, was reflected in the bike’s speedometer and tachometer. Unsurprisingly, this special-edition duo has gone on to become coveted collectors’ items.

With its column-wheel system and vertical clutch, the Caliber 01 delivers precise and smooth operation with a 70-hour power reserve.
