MISSION REPORT

SUSTAINABILITY

At Breitling, we are a #Squadonamission to do better. We are committed to doing our best to optimize the social and environmental impact of our business within our sphere of influence.  In our annual Sustainability Mission Report, you’ll find information about our overall vision for sustainability, as well as the key issues we're addressing.

PROSPERITY

CREATING TANGIBLE LOCAL OUTCOMES GLOBALLY

We have the opportunity to create value and shared prosperity for all our stakeholders by continuing to integrate three transformational levers for the company: The traceability-based business model, communities-based value chains, and circularity.

THE ORIGINS LABEL

We’ve spent the last few years reshaping the way we source our precious materials. Breitling’s Origins-label watches—featuring better gold and better diamonds—are the result.

COMMUNITY AND TRACEABILITY BASED SUPPLY CHAINS

Our artisanal and small-scale gold and lab-grown diamonds are fully traceable to producers who we’ve individually selected for their responsibility towards their employees, their local communities and the environment. The entire supply chain is documented, verified, and shared back with you on our enhanced traceability NFT and our Sourcemap.

CIRCULARITY

Our watch box received the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution label for its sustainable re-interpretation of the traditional watch packaging. It is one of our key examples to date in implementing circularity that we will build upon going forward.

PLANET

ACTING WITH URGENCY ACROSS SYSTEMS

We respect climate, water and biodiversity and are working with our stakeholders to develop a regenerative approach to nature and take tangible action, including on reducing plastic waste. Our greenhouse gas reduction targets are aligned to the Corporate Net Zero Standard and validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. We are one of eight early adopters in Switzerland of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures. Plastic waste across our operations are being reduced thanks to a concerted effort by our stakeholders.

Progress

ANCHORED IN A FOUNDATION OF TRANSPARENCY

We transparently communicate on our activities across the value chain (from raw materials to post-consumer) to build trust among our stakeholders. Our values are further outlined in our Environmental, Social and Governance Policy, Anti-Corruption Policy, Employee Code of Conduct and Supplier Code of Conduct. Our reporting line (SpeakUp) is accessible to our own workforce, workers in the value chain, affected communities, consumers and end-users, and any other external stakeholders who wish to raise concerns about compliance with our Supplier COC, Employee COC and other policies. Reports can be submitted anonymously through either phone or a web interface. Reporting concerns through SpeakUp is safe and confidential. All concerns will be treated seriously and processed promptly. Here you can access our SpeakUp-Line & FAQ.
